Ponder Brothers are on a mission to raise funds for
Te Omanga Hospice this August at Rona Gallery.
Starting August 3rd, Featuring Art from World-renowned New Zealand Artists Mike and Richard Ponder. This is part of their push to raise a quarter of a million dollars for Hospices up and down the country.
Richard is very happy the ninth "Ponder This" exhibition will be at Rona Gallery and benefiting the local hospice. Te Omanga Hospice is an amazing place that has helped many of our friends. It was after the death of a close friend, many years ago, when we saw the compassion of the staff and volunteers that we decided to make Te Omanga Hospice our charity of choice. This series of exhibitions, has been an opportunity to make a difference to hospices all around the country, but this one is special. We're really looking forward to it and supporting our local community.

Raised in Lower Hutt, New Zealand, and educated at Hutt Valley High School, Mike and Richard Ponder have been successful artists since the 70's with their work recognised both nationally and internationally. Mike's minimalistic work contrasts with Richard's vibrant use of colour, two very different styles based on oil on canvas with bold palette knife techniques. Mike's minimalist approach, with his figures and horses are now iconic representations of New Zealand farm life. Richard's recognised for his revolutionary artworks that push the boundaries of art into new and exciting areas.
